It’s been encouraging to see renewed interest in low-rise new homes across the GTA, especially after the introduction of the HST rebate program. This uptick in demand has kept the low-rise sector active, with builders rolling out new projects to meet buyer needs—helping maintain market balance and keeping prices from climbing too quickly. Meanwhile, the condo segment has faced some challenges, with construction timelines affecting its ability to benefit from these incentives. While gross prices haven’t changed, qualifying buyers are seeing real savings, making new homeownership more attainable in our region. As someone deeply invested in understanding GTA real estate trends, I see how measures like these not only support buyers but also help strengthen our local economy and protect jobs. It’s clear there’s still more work to be done to ensure all segments can participate. My goal is to help clients navigate these shifts and make informed decisions in this evolving landscape.
